CALDERN the Culturally and Linguistically Diverse Emergency Responders' Network is displaying at the Echuca Moama Show. We empower, support and represent culturally and linguistically diverse community members in the Emergency Responders' sector Australia wide and operate through membership channels, a comprehensive website caldern.org , registered with an ABN and strictly non profit.

Australia's emergency response sector (235000 volunteers)  is tremendously short of paid and volunteer members and is comprised of between 5 to 15 % of members from a diverse background. When you consider that over 51% of Australians have one parent born overseas then that's a huge resource, we could encourage to consider these roles. There are many reasons that diverse members recoil from considering these roles. Visit us at the stall to discuss how you can help.

We have displayed at numerous events and shows (including 2025 Yea Show, 2025, CFA stations, Emergency Bushfire Expos, Community markets, Wonthaggi Show, Pakenham Show, Seymour Show, Cowes Market, Kinglake Market, Diwali Festival, Chinese Lunar New Year Festival, Northcote Festival etc.) and disseminate safety and membership information regarding Australia's emergency sector directed at diverse persons in the community. We have been praised in many local media releases for our efforts . See our website for these articles.

We provide free gifts and Fire, Snow, Flood, Beach, Rip and CPR safety fridge magnet cards in numerous languages at our displays. We sell fire blankets, caps, sunscreen, sanitiser, emergency blankets and other items for less than $10 so consider your Christmas shopping. We also currently offer free annual membership for any person willing to become a member for which you also receive a GO BAG filled with safety items over a $100 rrp total. We do not oblige our members with any commitments and anyone can be a member we do not discriminate even if you want to help us spread the message.

We look forward to meeting you all at our stall this weekend at the show (7 to 8 Nov 2026)
